About Women of Mettle

In our ongoing efforts to enhance gender diversity in technical fields, we launched Women of Mettle for T School Campuses. This marks the ninth season of Tata Steel’s Women of Mettle, a pioneering scholarship program designed to encourage talented young women engineers to pursue careers in manufacturing. Women of Mettle is an intellectual marathon where young minds begin a journey to solve technical challenges. It offers students opportunities to address diverse cross-functional problems and interact with Tata Steel’s senior management, who serve as guides and mentors.

Women of Mettle is among Tata Steel’s campus connect programs aimed at inspiring talented engineering students to improve their skills in research and development, operational excellence, business strategy, and management. The program fosters a collaborative environment among students, academia, and the corporate sector, creating unique and promising career opportunities for young talent in India.

The top 50 shortlisted teams will be invited to submit and present analyses of real-world technical challenges. The top 10 teams will then be selected to compete in the Grand Finale.
